Why Bamboo?

We think bamboo is the perfect alternate material for toothbrushes. It's not only naturally antibacterial, is is also resistant to mould and is the fastest growing and most versatile land plant in the world.

Bamboo is also biodegradable (YAY), which means your used toothbrush (minus the bristles) will break down naturally rather than hang around in landfill for 1000 years!

Are your bamboo products compostable?

Yes they are! That is why we LOVE bamboo so much.

We recommend that you dispose of our used toothbrushes in your compost bin or green waste bin.

First either use pliers to pull the bristles out or snap off the head entirely, and dispose of separately.

When placed in a compost the toothbrush handle typically takes approximately 3 years to completely break down when fully submerged in soil.

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to dispose of your toothbrush properly.

Are the bristles biodegradable too?

Unfortunately no. You will need to remove the bristles from your brush or chop the head off before placing it into your compost or green waste bin.

No bristles on the market are biodegradable at this stage, although we are working on it as we are always trying to innovate!

To find out how to dispose of our products the best way possible, please follow our guide 'How to Dispose of Your Bamboo Toothbrush Properly'.

How sustainable is Bamboo?

Bamboo really is a wonderful natural material. It can grow up to 1 metre a day, it helps with global warming, it also helps with CO2 absorption and oxygen production. Bamboo is organic and wild and watered by the rain.

Are we taking the Panda's food?

We choose bamboo the pandas don’t eat. The species of bamboo we use two different species Bamboo and the pandas don’t eat, they eat ‘arrow’ bamboo, so you can be safe in the knowledge that we don't take any food from the pandas.

How long should I use each toothbrush for?

Dentists advise to replace your toothbrush every 3 months due to build up of bacteria and damage to the bristles.

We recommend you purchase our 4 pack will supply you with a years worth of toothbrushes.

How do I care for my toothbrush?

Rinse, like you would any plastic toothbrush, remove any dried paste or debris and dry the handle. After using store your toothbrush upright. Because bamboo is a natural material, prolonged water or sun will deteriorate it!

Do you accept returns?

Due to the nature of toothbrushes we are unable to accept returns of individual brushes for hygiene reasons, however we offer a money back guarantee on our Year's Supply packages: if you are not satisfied with the first toothbrush within 30 days of purchase you may return the other three unused and in original packaging for a full refund.
