Five colours. One for everyone.

Every brush is a different colour, so nobody has to write names on handles or guess which one is theirs. No labels, no negotiating, no accidentally using your brother's.

It's the reason Boo exists. Jane got tired of labelling five identical brushes every twelve weeks.

About those bristles.

The bristles are nylon, because nothing plant-based cleans as well yet, and we'd rather be straight with you than greenwash it.

When the brush is done, snap the head off and chuck it in the bin. If you can be bothered, pull the bristles out with pliers instead. Either way the bamboo handle goes in the compost or the garden. That's roughly 90% of the brush kept out of landfill.

Questions, answered

Still stuck? Email info@theboocollective.com.au and we'll get back to you.
What age are these right for?

Around 3 to 10. The head is smaller and the bristles are softer than our adult brush. Older kids and teens usually prefer the adult 4 pack.

Are the bristles compostable?

No. They're nylon, because nothing plant-based cleans as well yet. Pull them out with pliers and bin them, then compost the bamboo handle.

How does the subscription work?

A pack every 3 months at 10% off, with an email a few days before each one ships. Skip, delay or cancel from that email or your account, no phone calls.

Which colours are in the kids pack?

Five: black, white, pink, blue and yellow. A 4 pack is four of one colour, so one child gets a year's worth. The 5 pack is one of each.

Does bamboo go mouldy?

Not if it dries. Store the brushes upright in a cup rather than a closed container and the handles stay fine for the full three months.

A sustainable alternative to plastic toothbrushes which are gentle on kid's teeth.

It's always good to find out what alternatives there are on the market which reduces single use plastic waste. I saw these Boo Collective Kids bamboo toothbrushes which are a great sustainable option for brushing teeth. They are very cute and feel nice to touch because they are made from natural bamboo instead of hard plastic. Whilst the bristles are style synthetic nylon, at least it is a step in the right direction. The next improvement would be to have non synthetic bristles. It is the right size for toddlers and young children because of the rounded handle and soft bristles. I like that these eco-friendly toothbrushes are crafted from responsibly sourced bamboo. The handle is biodegradable and compostable so it reduces everyday waste. You get 4 toothbrushes in the pack and each lasts 3 months so you have a year's supply for one person. I love that it's a vegan product and it's cruelty free. Even though it does have nylon bristles. at least they are BPA free. I'm happy to support an Australian owned brand that designs products for eco-conscious families.

Lovely Bamboo Toothbrushes

My daughter really enjoys using these toothbrushes. The pop of colour is great, it makes them fun for her while also making it easy to tell which one is hers. The bristles are nice and soft on her teeth and gums, it’s definitely helped make brushing a bit more enjoyable and less of a chore.I also like the bamboo handle, it feels smooth, comfortable to hold, and it’s nice knowing it’s a more eco-friendly option. Overall, a really good set of kids’ toothbrushes that are gentle, practical, and a bit more fun to use. I’m really pleased!

Eco-Friendly Design with Firm Bristles

This children’s bamboo toothbrush is visually very appealing, and the handle has a good thickness that makes it easy for kids to grip and use independently. However, the bristles feel a bit firm, which may not be ideal for children’s sensitive teeth and gums. I personally prefer toothbrushes with softer bristles for kids, so overall this one is just average in terms of comfort and suitability.

Better for the environment and provides a good clean

These are a great looking, mostly natural toothbrush that is ideal for children including some younger teens. The bristles are quite fine and soft allowing for a gentle clean while still being able to slip into the gaps between teeth. My daughter enjoys using this as she's into eco-friendly products and our family is trying to reduce the amount of plastic in our home. At the time of this review, the cost per toothbrush was $4 which, considering it's better for the environment and we're supporting Australian, is quite reasonable.

Great eco-friendly option for kids

These bamboo toothbrushes are a fantastic sustainable choice for little ones. The handles are perfectly shaped for small hands to grip comfortably, and the soft bristles are gentle enough for delicate gums while still providing a thorough clean. The yellow paint on the handles tends to wear off slightly after a few weeks of consistent use. Aside from that, they are a wonderful, earth-conscious addition to the daily routine.

Fantastic toothbrushes from an Australian company

These kids’ bamboo toothbrushes are a great eco-friendly option and excellent value for a 4 pack. The different colour options make it really easy to give each child their own set so they always know which toothbrush belongs to them. The soft bristles are gentle for little mouths, and the toothbrush size is perfect for kids. The round handle feels comfortable to hold and seems easy for small hands to grip properly. I also like that the bristle colour matches the bottom of the handle, which looks neat and fun for children. In this set, the yellow details are bright and cheerful. The packaging was tidy and well presented, and one box should easily last around 12 months if the toothbrushes are changed quarterly.I appreciate that the handles are biodegradable and compostable once the bristles are removed, making them a more sustainable choice compared to regular plastic toothbrushes. It’s also nice supporting an Australian-owned brand.Overall, these are attractive, practical, environmentally friendly toothbrushes that work really well for kids.

Great family pack

I loved that each brush in the pack was customisable by colour choice. We all love these brushes. Easy to identify with the bristles colour codes as well as the ends, flat edge means the brush can be placed on the vanity without toppling over and smearing paste everywhere. Recommend.

Colourful and comfortable, nice feel

I purchased these adult brushes and the smaller kids set. We have just converted to bamboo and love the round handle. The colours are enticing enough for my 3 year old to part with her colourful plastic one. Will be back for more when needed! Thanks

Beautiful colours, great size, reasonable shipping!

Thank you for your handwritten note - it is always appreciated. Great product. But mostly, great shipping costs. It was one of the reasons I purchased this here. Another website was going to charge $13 for a toothbrush! We have just converted to bamboo and the colours are enticing enough for my 3 year old to part with her colourful plastic ones. Thanks so much. I'll be back for more when needed!
